Decionis Shield

Decionis Shield is a free app for iPhone, Android and Chrome that checks a purchase against limits you set — renewals, marketplace buys, apps and AI agents — asks you when something crosses them, and keeps a signed record you can show your bank. It is the consumer product of Decionis Inc., whose Protocol answers, before an automated action commits, whether it may.

Every figure on this page is dated and read from the storefront or the report it came from. Contact press@decionis.com.

Two stories, each with something you can run

“My AI assistant bought something I never approved.”

Assistants now book, renew and buy. Most of them discover the problem afterwards — a statement, a dispute, a refund request. Shield is built the other way round: the assistant asks first, and a purchase over your limit waits for your Face ID. The difference is a receipt you can verify, not a promise.

Try it yourself — the product as it ships
  1. Install Shield from the App Store or Google Play and set a per-purchase limit.
  2. Run the test charge: a labelled $150 renewal is held and you get a signed Dispute Passport.
  3. Pair Chrome or Safari from the app with a six-character code — no second sign-in.
  4. Check out over your limit on a supported store: Shield warns you with the amount and the rule, and keeps the record. It warns; it does not disable the pay button.

The assistant half — an agent that asks Shield before it spends — runs today in the public sandbox for developers; consumer self-service binding of your own assistant is on the roadmap and will be stated here, dated, when it ships. We do not present the sandbox as production.

What AI assistants tried to spend last month

A monthly, signed, k-anonymous report built only from people who opted in: what apps and agents attempted, what was held, by category — never amounts, never who.

No qualifying month yet. The report publishes only for a month in which every cell has at least 25 contributors. The method is written up at /report; the first month will appear there, signed, when it qualifies — not before.

When an AI-assistant spending incident is reported, we publish a runnable reproduction within 24 hours at /repro — 1 published so far, worked examples marked as such.

What Shield does, and does not do

Does
  • Evaluates a supported purchase against your limits before it happens.
  • Holds it for your Face ID when it crosses a limit, through a supported app, an agent that asks, or a paired browser.
  • Issues a signed Dispute Passport for a held decision — verifiable with a public key, no account.
  • Warns you at supported web checkouts in Chrome and Safari.
Does not
  • Stop a bank or card charge it never saw. There is no universal interception of arbitrary card payments on a phone, and we do not claim one.
  • Disable a merchant's pay button from the browser extension.
  • Cancel a subscription or reverse a charge.
  • Govern an assistant that was not built to ask.
